About Us

Paradise Acres Farm is the shared farming work of Jim and Lucia Tiffany and Ray and Dawn Spoon.

Jim and Lucia previously raised organic microgreens that served the local Northern Michigan community. They loved not only growing high-quality food, but also the relationships they built with clients and chefs who valued fresh, nutrient-dense produce. That experience deepened their appreciation for local agriculture and the privilege of serving others through food.

Ray brings many years of hands-on farm experience and simply loves to grow food. Dawn also brings valuable agricultural and community health experience. More recently, she directed a FARMSTEW program in the Philippines, where she taught rural communities how to integrate kitchen gardens into broader nutrition and healthy lifestyle programs. Together, Ray and Dawn share a deep commitment to the connection between agriculture, nourishment, and community well-being.

At Paradise Acres Farm, we are committed to caring for the land and growing food that truly nourishes people. We believe healthy soil produces healthier crops, which is why we use thoughtful growing practices and seek to steward the land well.

We grow a wide variety of seasonal produce for our CSA members and customers, with the goal of providing food that is fresh, flavorful, and rich in nutrition. More than anything, we love knowing the people we grow for and being part of a stronger local food community.

For us, farming is about more than producing vegetables. It is about stewardship, service, and the joy of feeding our neighbors well.
